Thank You, Joni and Friends!

Joni and Friends, a ministry that evangelizes, disciples, and assists people affected by disability, graced us with a print of this beautiful painting by their founder during a recent visit! To Joni Eareckson Tada and your ministry—thank you! What a sweet blessing and reminder of Christ’s transforming power!

Joni Eareckson Tada, founder and CEO, is well-acquainted with disability. A diving accident in 1967 left her a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, without the use of her hands or legs. After two years of rehabilitation, she emerged with greater faith, new skills, and a fresh determination to help others in similar situations. While recovering, she spent long months learning how to paint with a brush between her teeth—leading to beautiful and meaningful artwork such as the print she gifted to us.

From their website:

Joni and Friends is built on Biblical truth and the foundation of Jesus Christ. We are about advancing disability ministry and changing the church and communities around the world. The Joni and Friends International Disability Center (IDC) serves as the administrative center for ministries which provide outreach to thousands of families affected by disability around the globe. We invite you to browse our website to discover more ways you can be involved with our global outreach to the disability community!

Faith Comes By Hearing is coming alongside Joni and Friends to bring the Word of God to the nations, particularly those affected by disability. Through Joni and Friend’s Wheels for the World program, Audio Bibles on Proclaimers and BibleSticks are being sent along with new wheelchairs to those who need them. Men, women, and children who previously had difficulty accessing the Bible will now be able to hear it in their own heart language!

Please pray for the thousands of people affected by disabilities worldwide who will hear the Gospel—that there is a mighty God who loves them and wants a relationship with them through Jesus Christ—for the very first time.
